Margaret Gorge, Odenwald
The Flursbach, which originates somewhat south of Reichenbuch in the Neckar valley, runs approximately westward and is only 1.6 km long. In its lower course, the Margaret gorge (Margarethenschlucht) carves into the Odenwald Neckar valley slope, called Gickelberg. In the Margaret Gorge, which is about 300 meters long, the stream loses 110 meters in height, 85 meters of which are in eight waterfall stages, the lowest and largest of which drops 10 meters. The waterfall staircase in the Margaret Gorge is the highest waterfall in the Odenwald and one of the highest in the German low mountain ranges.
